History

Tabernacle Baptist Theological Seminary & Bible College is the result of both a need and a dream. A need was evident in 1970 for a local church-based Bible College to serve the Atlantic Coastal States. A school was needed that would stand for the old-time fundamentals of the faith and train fervent preachers of the Word.

Founder

The need and the dream were fulfilled when God led Rod Bell, Sr. to found the Tabernacle Baptist Bible Institute, which began operation in September of 1970.

Objective

The objective of the school has been, and still is, to provide a thorough basic training in the Scriptures and in the principles and methods of a local New Testament Baptist Church program, while instilling in each ministerial student the desire to preach and to stand uncompromisingly for the Word of God.

Expansion

In August of 1987, we began the Graduate School of Theology, offering the advanced degree of Mater of Religious Education. We have expanded the graduate program to include the Master of Ministry degree, Master of Religious Education degree, Master of Divinity degree, Doctor of Ministry degree, and Doctor of Religious Education degree.
